The Wall of Thirst
Installation in situ
Official Selection at the 29th
Eduardo León Jimenes
Curated by: José Roca, Luis Graham Castillo & Suset Sánchez
"The wall of thirst, by Yermine Richardson, powerfully materializes the political dimension of water: a large wall covered with buckets used to carry water becomes a series of megaphones transmitting community stories, exposing the everyday difficulties surrounding access to this resource. Water thus ceases to function merely as a natural element and reveals itself instead as a contested common good."- José Roca

Official Selection XXX BIENNIAL of Visual Art MAM
An installation that captures the everyday wisdom found on the windows of public buses in Dominican Republic. These short messages full of humor, tributes, advice, or faith become part of the city's oral and visual heritage. The project raises these everyday sayings to the status of a street cultural archive, highlighting how Dominican identity is also shaped through snippets of urban life that travel with the daily traffic jams, reminding us that knowledge takes many forms and that the street is a vibrant space for collective thought.
